Enjoy a day in the out at the monthly Crieff country market. The markets will feature a wide variety of stall holders from traditional farmers' market produce such as organic meat, jams and pickles to crafts and giftware, including photography, glass and jewellery. GALA IN THE GARDENS

DRUMMOND CASTLE GARDENS

Enjoy music, stories, food and fun with a touch of tartan this summer at Drummond Castle Gardens. Make sure you keep August 6th in your diary to celebrate the 330th birthday of the Library of Innerpeffray, Scotland�s oldest free lending Library, with a Gala in the Gardens. Everyone is invited to bring a picnic and enjoy an evening�s entertainment with a host of musical talent including the stunning vocals of special guest Sheena Wellington - whose evocative performance moved so many at the opening of the Scottish Parliament. There�s something for everyone with Blackford Fiddlers, Chitterybite, Blue Dubh, Peter Davenport Jazz Band and the Crieff High Pipe Band all performing on the night. The Gala also celebrates the art of storytelling with guest appearances from Mairi Hedderwick, reading from her Katie Morag books and Claire Hewitt performing traditional tales with music and songs. Look out for fabulous prizes in the Grand Raffle, Mad Hatter�s Tea Party for children, Big Wooden Spoon Hunt and mini highland games for the young and young at heart, plus lots more! Local businesses can get involved with sponsorship opportunities and craft stalls. Pack your picnic, add a touch of tartan and join us for the birthday party of the year � the Gala in the Gardens.
