The Library of Innerpeffray

No visit to Strathearn is complete without discovering The Library of Innerpeffray, Scotland's first free public lending library, founded in 1680. Step back in time to Enlightenment Scotland and explore Scotland’s cultural heritage through the books read by local people in this beautiful and tranquil setting, just a short, ten minute drive from Crieff or Auchterarder on the B8062.

Drummond Castle Gardens

Drummond Gardens has all the characteristics of a courtly, 17th century Scottish Renaissance garden. It is a composite garden, restructured in early Victorian times and renewed again in the 20th century when the garden framework and the exceptional interest of the original 19th century design were carefully preserved. The tranquility of the gardens makes them the perfect place to stroll amongst the well-manicured plantings or sit and absorb the atmosphere of this special place.

Caithness Glass

Located in the Crieff Visitor Centre is the making studio and visitor shop of Caithness Glass. See the world famous Caithness Glass paperweights and gifts hand crafted before your own eyes. Children can paint their own glass and you can even have a go at making your own paperweight! Marvel at the skill and artistry of the glass makers and then choose a lovely souvenir or gift in the fabulous Factory shop . On the FREE factory tour you can learn the fascinating story of Caithness Glass and see �up close� the beautiful items being made by hand. Suitable for all ages and with access to everyone. The Caithness Glass Factory shop has the widest selection of crystal and glass and you can always find a fantastic bargain.

Crieff Visitors Centre

Crieff Visitor Centre is the new home of Caithness Glass. Come and view craftsmen making the world renowned paperweights and try your hand at glass painting or make your own paperweight. Also visit the extensive gift shop, plant centre and 180 seat restaurant. Children’s play area and free parking. Situated on the edge of town on the A822 to Stirling.

Auchengarrich Wildlife Centre

Auchingarrich Wildlife Centre is set in 100 acres of beautiful Perthshire hills with views over the surrounding countryside. As well as the many animals and birds visit the hatchery to see the chicks emerging from their eggs. An adventure around every corner for all ages - indoor soft play area for the younger children and indoor playbarn for the older children as well as outdoor activities - pedal tractor circuit, games field and putting green, outdoor playpark with flying fox, pony rides and fishing. Other activities on site are Falconry, Bushcraft, Quad biking and Paintballing. Open daily from 10am till dusk.
